Network outage report
Yesterday (3rd of August 2011) at approximately 02h00 CAT, Absol Internet Business Solutions experienced a failure on the core backbone fibre link to our primary data centre and hosting facility in Centurion. Our network engineers began troubleshooting the failure immediately and escalated the problem with our data centre technical team. This outage affected all services including: Email, Hosting and DNS services.
NATIONAL PLANNING COMMISSION
The National Planning Commission has released their Diagnostic Document and elements of the Vision Statement for 2030, using www.npconline.gov.za – developed and hosted by Absol. The website is an interface that connects its users to NPC through news articles as well as downloadable documents, and the facility to send comments and enquiries.
GADGET + MSN PARTNERSHIP
Web guru Arthur Goldstuck has signed a partnership with Howzit MSN, bringing a revolutionary ‘Tech and Gadgets’ channel to MSN. Mining Indaba 2011
Absol developed an on-site delegate registration system and ecommerce platform for Summit Business Media to manage their flagship event held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from the 7th to the 10th of February 2011.
This is the 7th year in a row the Kentucky, USA based firm have entrusted this responsibility to Absol.
THE PRESIDENCY OF SOUTH AFRICA
Absol now hosts and supports the official site for the South African presidency, built in Absol Publisher. The site features all speeches and press releases by the members of parliament, as well as the option to subscribe to a regular newsletter and send comments to the presidency.

This week Absol launched the new IIConf website powered by the AbsolPublisher CMS. Since 1987, International Investment Conferences (IIC) has organized more than 100 resource investor focused conferences. These programmes have directly or indirectly generated billions of dollars of transactions for mining projects worldwide from both individual and institutional investors. Hosted on Absol's servers in New York City, the site allows for on-line registrations of delegates, sponsors, speakers and exhibitors for various conferences hosted all over the world and enables IIC staff to manage all backend transactions via a web interface.
